Nestled in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains

‘Melody's View’: Located on Great Sacandaga Lake, this Adirondack A-Frame is a mere 45 minutes from Saratoga Springs and an easy day trip from NYC. It’s classic A-Frame with all of the “cozy” conveniences for friends and families to create lasting memories.

Relax, Retreat, Play, Swim and Eat … repeat!

Three generations and going strong, “The Camp” has been a welcome retreat for kids of all ages. Hand-built with love (and a few smooshed thumbs) by lifelong friends Walt and Suzanne, this hidden gem was shared and then adopted decades ago by Melody O’Connor. Now warmly referred to as “Melody’s View", it’s not a leap to exclaim that it offers one of the more majestic views in the region. And it is this wonderful lady, Melody, that has kept it in our family, tirelessly caring for it, and creating indelible experiences for her friends, her children and their friends alike.

Growing up there in the 70’s, 80’s & 90’, it was rustic to say the least, but what mattered was ‘togetherness’ (and the lake!). And this ‘viewtastic’ abode still nurtures that quality time with those that matter most. The beach, board games, books and music remain high on the To Do list, but we do have wifi for those looking to take their corporate office semi-off grid!

It’s rather remote, but it’s also a convenient 45ish minute drive to Saratoga Springs (think SPAC, race track, incredible dining and more), and Six Flags Great Escape for thrill seekers. The major metropolis nearby is Northville (pop. 1,053 (2018)). It’s about 20 minutes away and there you’ll find all the fixens you need, plus the best breakfast sandwiches, ice cream and mini-golf.
